Eventual, Hereafter,

and Onward

Towards the end of the decade, the artist worked rigorously on experimenting with the rural art form. At the present time, his Rural Scenes Series is evolving towards a more ornate form. Along with the rural settings and folk-art forms, the artist is also inspired by the ornate decorations of deities at the temples and household.

Above all, his folk-art form is a culmination of his experiences in the remotest parts of the country. His travels to remote villages in and around Shantiniketan, Rampurhat, Tarapith, Sundarban in Bengal to Raghurajpur in Orissa and Ajanta in Aurangabad, had given him a distinct flavor of the Indian rural life and folk art form. As a result, the various folk-art forms of Madhubani, Warli, Gond, Bengal Patachitra come together and blend in a unique Indian form.

Partha continues to work on this unique brand of Indian folk art form.

Innovation, Demurral,

and Communiqué

Towards the 2010s, the artist felt his work has been heavily influenced by the European school of art and realism. Therefore, he consciously moved towards the making of illusions and worked on the form to make it more detailed. As can be seen, he used the Indian miniature form and added additional materials in the canvas to add a third dimension. Furthermore, this decade also saw the artist continuing the Devi Series.

In summary, the works in this decade can be categorized as the Jesus Series, Mahakal Series, and Drawings.

Evolution, Pursuit,

and Inquiry

The years between 1990-2000 saw the man evolve as an artist. On the positive side, he was gradually immersing himself in the spiritual realm of things and a trip to the Borra caves, located on the East Coast of India deepened this belief. After that, he felt closer to the eternal life force and as a result this gave birth to his Devi Series (Goddess Series).

To sum up, his works in this decade can be categorized as the Devi Series, Dawn to Dusk Series, Mask Series, and Musician Series.

Remotion, Grief,

and Yearning

The decade of 1980-90 was of key importance in the life of this Indian artist. He graduated from college and subsequently, moved away from his family in search of livelihood. As a result, his sense of isolation and yearning for his family highlighted this age.

His readings of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay, Rabindranath Tagore and other eminent personalities reflected in his paintings. As can be seen, the canvas reflected his yearning for his own family and this was depicted through various characters in literature.

In conclusion, his main works can be categorized as his Family series, Commission Series, and Semi-abstraction Series.
