Towards the end of the decade, the artist worked rigorously on experimenting with the rural art form. At the present time, his Rural Scenes Series is evolving towards a more ornate form. Along with the rural settings and folk-art forms, the artist is also inspired by the ornate decorations of deities at the temples and household.
Above all, his folk-art form is a culmination of his experiences in the remotest parts of the country. His travels to remote villages in and around Shantiniketan, Rampurhat, Tarapith, Sundarban in Bengal to Raghurajpur in Orissa and Ajanta in Aurangabad, had given him a distinct flavor of the Indian rural life and folk art form. As a result, the various folk-art forms of Madhubani, Warli, Gond, Bengal Patachitra come together and blend in a unique Indian form.
Partha continues to work on this unique brand of Indian folk art form.
